Should I go open source with my AI creative writing and audiobook creation project?
I’ve been working on a project for audiobook creation and creative writing for the last 2 years that, unfortunatelly, it hasn’t worked. I was wondering if I should open source the whole project or if it isn’t worth doing it.
I share some of the works that I’ve done:
Original stories that I wrote:
Public Domain Audiobook:
- “The Lost World” by Arthur Conan Doyle
- “A study in Scarlet” by Arthur Conan Doyle
- “The Variable Man” by Philip K. Dick
Examples of the use of tool with different Text-To-Speech providers:
- English Audiobook ElevenLabs
- English Audiobook Speechify
- English Audiobook PlayHT
- English Audiobook XTTS
- English Audiobook Cartesia
Translations to other languages:
- Translation to Spanish and Audiobook ElevenLabs
- Translation to Spanish and Speechify
- English Audiobook XTTS
- English Audiobook Cartesia
Walkthroughs showing how to use the tool:
- Walkthrough Audiobook Creation (“The Lost World” by Arthur Conan Doyle)
- Walkthrough creative writing (from outline to story) (PART 1/2)
- Walkthrough audiobook creation (from story to audiobook) (PART 2/2)
Making the project open source could take me a considerable amount of time since I would have to format certain parts of the project, I’m in a difficult economic situation and I cannot afford to waste my time. So my question to the community is if you consider worth it or if I should kill the project all together.
